Wheel sandblasting is a mechanical treatment process in which abrasive particles under high pressure thoroughly remove rust, old coatings, brake dust, oxidation, and other impurities from the metal surface of the rims. This achieves a clean, uniformly rough surface, which is ideal for further processing – such as painting, varnishing, or powder coating. Sandblasting significantly improves the adhesion of new coatings and extends the life of the rims.
