Wheel Sandblasting

We remove rust, old coatings, and impurities from rims, ensuring thorough restoration and long-lasting protection of the metal surface.

Advantages of Wheel Sandblasting

Thorough Removal of Impurities

Old paint, brake dust, rust, and oxidation are effectively removed from the surface of the rims.

Ideal Preparation for Painting

Sandblasting enables an even application of new coatings and improves paint adhesion.

Restoration of Appearance and Protection of Rims

The rims receive a fresh look and additional protection against corrosion and damage.

What is sandblasting?

Wheel sandblasting is a mechanical treatment process in which abrasive particles under high pressure thoroughly remove rust, old coatings, brake dust, oxidation, and other impurities from the metal surface of the rims. This achieves a clean, uniformly rough surface, which is ideal for further processing – such as painting, varnishing, or powder coating. Sandblasting significantly improves the adhesion of new coatings and extends the life of the rims.

How does wheel sandblasting work?

The wheel sandblasting process takes place in several steps to ensure thorough cleaning and optimal surface preparation:

  1. Visual inspection and preparation of the rim
Before starting the sandblasting, we inspect the rim and, if necessary, remove tires, valve stems, or other sensitive parts.

  2. Removal of coarse impurities
We mechanically remove larger residues of mud, brake dust, or grease from the surface to prepare the rim for sandblasting.

  3. Sandblasting with abrasive material
Under high pressure, we direct the abrasive medium (e.g., steel balls, corundum, garnet sand) onto the surface of the rim. This process effectively removes rust, oxidation, old paints and creates a slightly rough surface that improves the adhesion of the new coating.

  4. Quality control
After sandblasting is complete, we inspect the surface to ensure uniform cleanliness without residues of old layers.

  5. Preparation for further processing
Rims prepared in this way are suitable for powder coating, painting, or other protective treatment, which provides long-lasting protection and a beautiful appearance.
